Annika Sörenstam is a Swedish former professional golfer who is widely regarded as one of the greatest female golfers of all time. She enjoyed a highly successful career, accumulating numerous victories and accolades.

Annika Sörenstam won a total of 10 major championships in women’s golf throughout her career including LPGA Championship: 2003, 2004, 2005; the U.S. Women’s Open: 1995, 1996, 2006;Women’s British Open: 2003, 2004 and Kraft Nabisco Championship (now ANA Inspiration): 2001, 2002
In 2003, she achieved a career grand slam, winning, at least once in her career, each of the four tournaments recognized as major championships during the main part of her career.

In addition to her major wins, Sörenstam achieved remarkable consistency and dominance on the LPGA Tour. She won a total of 72 LPGA Tour events, ranking third on the all-time wins list.

Annika Sörenstam also held the top spot in the Women’s World Golf Rankings for a record 60 weeks. Before retiring from competitive golf at the end of the 2008 season, she had won 90 international tournaments as a professional, making her the female golfer with the most wins.
After turning 50, she came back from her retirement and added a win in the 2021 U.S. Senior Women’s Open.
