Shay Mitchell Parents: Meet Precious Garcia, Mark Mitchell

Shay Mitchell is a Canadian actress, model, entrepreneur, and author. She is the daughter of Precious Garcia and Mark Mitchell

Her father Mark Mitchell is of Scottish and Irish origin, and her mother is from the Philippine province of Pampanga. She left the nation when she was 19 years old.

Shay is a first cousin once removed of singer and musical theatre actress Lea Salonga.  She went to Rockridge Secondary School before moving on to West Vancouver Secondary School, where she graduated.

She had successfully modelled for a variety of organisations in countries as diverse as Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Barcelona by her late teens, eventually returning to Toronto to pursue acting.

Mitchell rose to fame for her role as Emily Fields in the television series “Pretty Little Liars,” which aired from 2010 to 2017.   Apart from her acting career, Shay Mitchell is also involved in various entrepreneurial ventures.

She co-founded the travel and lifestyle brand “BÉIS” in 2018, which offers a range of travel bags, accessories, and skincare products. In 2019, Shay Mitchell published her first book titled “Bliss,” which is a collection of essays about her personal experiences and life lessons.
