Shay Mitchell Children: Meet Atlas and Rome

Shay Mitchell is a Canadian actress, model, entrepreneur, and author. Shay Mitchell and her partner Matte Babel have two daughters.

Their first daughter Atlas was born in October 2019; and Rome, born May 2022. She used her Instagram post on February 7, 2022, to share her second pregnancy news.

On June 5 2022, Shay announced the birth of her second daughter and revealed she was named after her late grandmother.

“Losing the most important person in my life in the same year I welcomed my second daughter has shifted everything for me, but one thing remains steady in my soul.

She added, “We’re so happy you’re here Rome, named after my best friend, my soulmate, my ‘person,’ my Grandma Romaine.”

Speaking to PEOPLE in an interview about her kids, Shay Mitchell said “I feel really, really good. It definitely takes a village. I’m really lucky my parents are in town and everybody’s been really helpful,” she shared.

She added that her oldest daughter Atlas “is loving being a big sister” She added of her second daughter’s name Rome “It’s a very special name and I think similar to Atlas, when I heard it, I knew it was just the perfect name.”
