Marcus Harris was born on July 21, 1992, in Perth, Western Australia.

He has represented Australia in Test cricket, since his debut in 2018, and has played a number of first-class cricket for Western Australia.

He is “the youngest Australian to score a first class 150”, having appeared in over 40 Sheffield Shield matches for Western Australia and scoring over 2,000 runs.

Harris also played T20Is for the Perth Scorchers, appearing in over 14 Big Bash League (BBL) matches, and scoring 192 runs at an average of 19.41.

In 2022, Harris was named to the Australian Test squad and the 2023 Border-Gavaskar Trophy Series.

Also in 2023, he signed a Cricket Australia contract and was listed amongst the squad for the 2023 Ashes.
