William Nylander parents: Meet Michael Nylander and Camilla Nylander – William Andrew Michael Junior Nylander Altelius best known as William Nylander is a Canadian-born Swedish professional ice hockey right winger for the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League (NHL).

Nylander who was born on 1 May 1996 was selected by the Maple Leafs in the first round, eighth overall, of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
He was born in Calgary, Alberta to his parents Michael Nylander and Camilla Nylander.
William’s father also played ice hockey and was a member of the Calgary Flames at the time William was born. William spent the majority of his youth in the United States where his father played for several NHL teams, spending the summers in Sweden.

William’s family later moved to Sweden when he was 14.
There is no detailed information on William’s mother aside from her name.
Michael and Camille Nylander have another son, Alex Nylander, who is William’s younger brother.
William made his Allsvenskan debut on February 14, 2013. Playing alongside his father Michael Nylander with Södertälje SK, William earned an assist in his first professional game on a goal by Robert Carlsson.
William closed out his 2013–14 season with a successful 22-game rookie stint in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL), where he would play as many as 20 minutes per night.
Ranked as a top prospect in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, he was ultimately selected eighth overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs.
