Kane Williamson Cricket Career

Kane Williamson has served as captain of the New Zealand cricket team in all three formats since 2016.

Under his leadership, New Zealand reached the final of the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup and the final of the inaugural ICC World Test Championship in 2021.

His career in cricket so far has been successful ever since he made his international debut for the New Zealand cricket team in 2010.

He had scored a century (131 runs) in the second innings of the match, becoming the eighth New Zealand player to score a century on debut.

Williamson has since then amassed a remarkable batting record, scoring over 7,000 runs in Test cricket at an average of around 54, including 24 centuries and 33 fifties.

He holds several records for New Zealand, such as the most Test centuries and being the fastest New Zealand batsman to reach 3,000, 4,000, 5,000, and 6,000 runs in Test cricket.
