In 2015, Stonie triumphed in the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest, ending Joey Chestnut’s eight-year stint as champion. Stonie’s YouTube channel, where he posts footage of his eating challenges, has helped him achieve notoriety.

Stonie made his Major League Eating debut in 2011 in the Stockton Deep Fried Asparagus Championship in Stockton, California. He was the organization’s youngest member at the time, being only 18 years old. His first win occurred in a lobster roll-eating contest in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire, in 2010.

On July 4, 2015, Stonie outperformed Joey Chestnut, the eight-time defending Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest champion, by eating 62 hot dogs to Chestnut’s 60. Stonie’s Major League Eating ranking has ranged between second and fifth position since 2016.

Stonie’s YouTube channel had over 15.3 million members and 3.11 billion video views as of April 2022. His most popular video has had over 126 million views.

Stonie partnered with TGI Friday’s in August 2022 to develop Stonie Bowls, his own fast-casual restaurant brand. The restaurant is known for its generously portioned rice and poke bowls. Stonie announced the launch with a challenge video, challenging people to beat his time.
