Her grandparents owned the Duke’s Head pub on St Paul’s Church Street. She was a student at Kingsmead Primary School. Phillips attended Millbrook Community School after her family relocated to Southampton.
Fiona Phillips worked briefly after leaving school at Mr Kipling’s Bakery in Eastleigh, near Southampton. She earned a BA (Hons) in English from Birmingham Polytechnic, as well as a PGCert in journalism.

Fiona Philips began her career as a radio reporter and producer before moving to television. She gained widespread recognition as a presenter on the morning news program “GMTV” (Good Morning Television) from 1997 to 2008. During her time on “GMTV,” she interviewed numerous high-profile figures and covered a wide range of news and current affairs topics.
Apart from her work on “GMTV,” Fiona Phillips has also appeared on other television programs, including “Strictly Come Dancing,” a popular dance competition show in the UK, and “Loose Women,” a daytime talk show. She has been involved in various charitable activities and advocacy work, particularly related to healthcare and family issues.
