Lawrence Turman Obituary

Famous film producer, Lawrence Turman has died at the age of 96. He died on Saturday, July 1, 2023, however, no cause of death has been announced.

Tributes have been pouring out since his death was revealed.

“Very sad to see that Lawrence Turman passed away. A truly creative producer with wonderful, eclectic taste. Larry was my boss at USC. He will be missed!” Peter Gould.

“We’re saddened to hear of producer Lawrence Turman’s passing – Turman’s fifty-year career gave us classics like The Graduate, for which he was nominated for an Oscar,” Studio Canal UK shared.

“He always had his door open. He picked up the phone and made a couple of calls for you then and there if he believed in your project. A real idea man and true producer, RIP Lawrence Turman,” Gwen Wynne.

“RIP Lawrence Turman.He spent $1,000 of his own money to option Charles Webb’s novel, then picked Mike Nichols to direct “an intuitive hunch,” Mike Barnes.
