Jeff Petry Children: Meet Boyd, Barrett, Bowen, and Blake Petry

Jeffrey Petry is a professional ice hockey defenseman in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Pittsburgh Penguins. Jeff and his wife Julie have four sons Boyd, Barrett, Bowen, and Blake Petry

There isn’t much information about his children because they’re so young. They appear to enjoy watching their father play, as they attend the majority of his games.

Jeff Petry’s hockey journey began in his college years when he played for the Michigan State University Spartans in the NCAA.  He was drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in the second round of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

After being drafted, Petry honed his skills in the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Oilers’ affiliate team, the Oklahoma City Barons.

Throughout his NHL career, Petry spent the majority of his time with the Edmonton Oilers, becoming a key player on their blue line. However, in March 2015, he was traded to the Montreal Canadiens, where he truly flourished.

Petry and forward Ryan Poehling were traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins on July 16, 2022, in exchange for Mike Matheson and a 2023 fourth-round draft pick.
