Born on July 26, 1970, Cress Williams was born to American parents. Williams took courses at Fullerton College and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in theatre from the University of California, Los Angeles. He started acting in college in 1990 in the production of William Shakespeare’s tragedy Othello, which was directed by Tom Blank. He also acted in another production dubbed Red Noses that same year.
