Vanessa Redgrave is a British actress, whose career spans over six decades, beginning from the 1960s, when she appeared as Rosalind in the Shakespearean comedy As You Like It.
Redgrave was born on January 30, 1937, in Blackheath, London, England.
She attended the Central School of Speech and Drama in 1954. During her time, she appeared in many West End productions, Broadway productions, and Shakespearean plays.

Redgrave made her acting debut in 1960, co-starring with her father in The Tiger and the Horse. In 1961, she played Rosalind in the Shakespearean comedy As You Like It, a role which won her awards.
So far, Redgrave has appeared in several films including the medical drama Behind the Mask, Morgan: A Suitable Case for Treatment, Julia, Isadora, Mary Queen of Scots, The Bostonians, and Howards End.
