Is Vanessa Redgrave healthy?

Redgrave is healthy but still battles emphysema, which has affected her lungs due to years of smoking. She has also suffered a heart attack in the past.

Redgrave made her acting debut in 1960, co-starring with her father in The Tiger and the Horse. The following year, she played Rosalind in the Shakespearean comedy As You Like It, a role which won her awards

In the early years of her acting career, she appeared in a number of West End productions, Broadway productions, and many Shakespearean plays.

Redgrave has been acting for over 60 years, and has appeared in several films including the medical drama Behind the Mask, Morgan: A Suitable Case for Treatment, Julia, Isadora, Mary Queen of Scots, The Bostonians, and Howards End.

Other film credits of hers include A Man for All Seasons, Blowup, Camelot, Dropout, The Devils, Vacation, Murder on the Orient Express, Prick Up Your Ears, Mission: Impossible, Atonement, Letters to Juliet, Coriolanus, Cars 2, and The Butler.

Redgrave is a triple crown award-winning actress, and has been inducted into the American Theatre Hall of Fame.
