Award-winning actress Vanessa Redgrave was born in Blackheath, London, England, on January 30, 1937.

The triple crown actress had begun appearing in West End productions, Broadway productions, and Shakespearean plays, during her time at the Central School of Speech and Drama, as far back as 1954.

Redgrave made her acting debut in 1960, co-starring with her father in The Tiger and the Horse. The following year, she played Rosalind in the Shakespearean comedy As You Like It, a role which won her awards.
For her diverse film roles, Redgrave has won several awards such as an “Olivier Award, a Tony Award, Academy Award, two Primetime Emmy Awards, the BAFTA Fellowship Award, the Golden Lion Honorary Award, and an induction into the American Theatre Hall of Fame.”
