Vanessa Redgrave is famous for appearing in many film roles including playing Rosalind in the Shakespearean comedy As You Like It (1961), and appearing in Julia (1977). The latter had earned her an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award.

Redgrave still appears in the drama series Call the Midwife, where she plays the role of a narrator.
Redgrave comes from a family of actors. She is “the wife of Italian actor Franco Nero, the mother of actresses Joely Richardson and Natasha Richardson and of director Carlo Gabriel Nero, the mother-in-law of actor Liam Neeson and film producer Tim Bevan.”
