Jennifer Westfeldt gained recognition for her work in film, television, and theatre. She made her breakthrough with the independent film “Kissing Jessica Stein” (2001), which she co-wrote and starred in. The film received critical acclaim and showcased Westfeldt’s talent as both an actress and a writer.
She received a nomination for the Independent Spirit Award for Best First Screenplay for her work on the film. She also wrote, produced, starred in, and directed Friends with Kids, a 2012 indie film that was included on New York Magazine’s Top Ten Movies of 2012 list, as well as NPR’s Top 12 of 2012.

In addition to her acting career, Jennifer Westfeldt has appeared in various television shows, including guest roles in popular series such as “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place.” She has also worked in theater, both on and off Broadway.
Westfeldt made her Broadway debut in 2003, opposite Donna Murphy in the revival of Wonderful Town for which she received a 2004 Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical, a Theatre World Award for Outstanding Broadway Debut, and a Drama League Award for her role as Eileen Sherwood.
