Chris Elliott’s acting career spans several decades and includes a wide range of film, and TV roles.

Elliott rose to fame after he joined the cast of the sketch comedy show “Saturday Night Live” in 1990.

In the same year, Elliott co-wrote and starred in this comedy film Cabin Boy, playing the lead Character of Nathaniel Mayweather.

“In the comedy film Groundhog Day” (1993), Elliott played the role of Larry, a cameraman working alongside Bill Murray’s character, and it has remained one of Elliott’s most recognizable roles.

In 1998, Elliott had a memorable supporting role as Dom, the friend and neighbor of Ben Stiller’s character in the film “There’s Something About Mary”.

In 2001, Elliott appeared in the horror-comedy spoof Scary Movie 2″, playing Hanson, a character known for his odd behavior and funny hairstyle.

Following these, Elliott had a recurring role on the popular sitcom, “How I Met Your Mother” from 2005 to 2014, playing Mickey Aldrin, the father of Lily Aldrin.

Between 2015 and 2020, Elliott also played a recurring role as Roland Schitt in the acclaimed comedy series “Schitt’s Creek” . His role had earned him an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series.
