Frederic Forrest Obituary

American actor, Frederic Forrest has died after a prolonged illness at the age of 86. His death occurred on June 23, 2023.

Tributes have been pouring in from fans since his death was announced.

“Just heard the sad news about Frederic Forrest. A hugely underrated actor, he was nonetheless magnificent in The Rose, The Conversation, The Missouri Breaks, Apocalypse Now, and One From The Heart. RIP Chef. Time to get off the boat,” a fan wrote.

“The most underrated member of Coppola’s repertory players, and the only Texan to portray a believable Louisianan. Also banged as Capt. Jenko, the original man in charge of  Jump Street Chappell the first few episodes. Rest in Peace, Frederic Forrest.” Ford Gilmore.

“Very sad to hear of Frederic Forrest’s passing. He had an incredible banner year in 1979, with his incredible manic performance as Chef in ‘Apocalypse Now,’ and his quiet soulful Oscar-nominated turn as Huston, the love interest to Better Midler’s titular ‘Rose,” another fan wrote.
