Ricardo Horta is currently in a long-term relationship with Cátia Almeida. The lovely couple are proud parents of two girls. Their first child, Clara Horta, was born in 2017, and Carolina Horta, the second, was born in 2020.

On 9 December 2013, Ricardo Horta scored his first professional goal, the game’s only against Académica de Coimbra. He was a regular starter in his second season, playing 28 matches and scoring seven times.

On 5 July 2016, Horta was loaned to Braga for one year. Ricardo Horta scored 11 and eight goals in his second and third seasons respectively, helping to consecutive fourth-place finishes.
