On 11 September 2016, Florentino Luís made his professional debut with the club’s reserve team as a substitute in a 2–1 home win over Académico de Viseu in LigaPro. Florentino also played in the 2016–17 UEFA Youth League.

At the 2017 UEFA European Under-19 Championship in Georgia, Florentino Luís was part of the Portugal team that finished runners-up to England.
