Lilian Thuram-Ulien is a retired football player who last played as a defender for the Spanish football club Barcelona.

Born on January 1, 1972, in Guadeloupe, France, Thuram’s began playing football with Monaco in Ligue 1 as far back as 1991. He also spent more than 15 seasons playing for France, Italy and Spain.

Thuram’s entire playing career saw him play for Portugais de Fontainebleau, Fontainebleau, Melun, Monaco, Parma, Juventus, and Barcelona.

During his time, Thuram was so versatile that he could play both centre-back and right-back positions.

He began playing with Barcelona in 2006, after signing a €5 million deal.
