Jose Neves happens to be the father of football champion Ruben Neves.

Jose has been very supportive of his son’s career from inception and had enrolled him at FC Porto at age eight.
He made his first-team debut for Porto at age 17, and helped the team win the Primeira Liga title.

Neves displayed his athleticism during his time at Porto, showcasing his long-range shooting skills. He additionally served as captain for the team in the 2015-2016 season, and was named the youngest captain in the history of both Porto’s and the UEFA Champions League.

Neves additionally represented Portugal at various levels and took part in tournaments such as the UEFA Nations League and the UEFA European Championship.
In 2017, Neves moved to the English Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers, for a transfer fee of £15.8 million, and helped the club qualify for the Premier League in his first year.
