A professional mixed martial artist of Russian and Armenian descent, Arman Tsarukyan was born on October 11, 1996. He currently fights in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC)’s Lightweight division. He is ranked #8 in the UFC lightweight standings as of January 17, 2023.
On September 25, 2015, Tsarukyan faced Shamil Olokhanov in his mixed martial arts debut and prevailed through technical knockout in the opening frame.

He was knocked out in the first round of his ensuing battle with Alexander Belikh. Arman carried on competing for mixed martial arts organizations throughout Russia and Asia, winning his subsequent 12 matches by submission, including a victory over Belikh in the first round to exact revenge for his earlier defeat. Prior to agreeing to a four-fight contract with the UFC, he amassed a 13-1 record.
