He practices Shotokan and competed in the North American Sport Karate Association. He began his acting career as young Jin Kazama on Tekken (2009).

Liu was referred to the audition by one of his martial arts teachers. He played Maya Erskine’s brother Shuji on PEN15 on Hulu Dramedy. He also played the role of Taylor King in Snapchat’s young-adult drama series Players and later appeared in Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings by Marvel Entertainment in 2021. He portrayed Ruihua, the younger brother of Awkwafina’s Katy.
He bagged his acting debut when he was referred to the audition by one of his martial arts teachers. His manager initially found him through karate videos uploaded on YouTube. He had a recurring role as Carter on Nickelodeon’s Legendary Dudas.
