American author and actress, Carol Higgins Clark has been reported dead. According to sources, she died of appendix cancer on Tuesday, June 12, 2023, at the age of 66.

Born on July 28, 1956, Carol Higgins Clark was born to American best-selling author, Mary Higgins Clark who died in 2020. While attending Mount Holyoke College, she began re-typing her mother’s transcripts and also made contributions such as renaming locations and characters.

She became a writer because she wanted to help her mother with her scripts, while also familiarizing herself with the process of writing a book and telling tales.

Clark also wrote suspense books just like her mother, however, her books contained a sense of humor, unlike her mother. She once shared that she used her first job experience to develop an idea for her book Ice, where she uses a woman who is working as a dry cleaner as the main character.
She began her acting career in the 1970s after studying acting in college. She made her debut acting career in the 1975 film Who Killed Amy Land which aired on Good Morning America.
Clark also performed in Wendy Wasserstein’s play Uncommon Women, and also played the lead in the film A Cry In The Night, based on novel by her mother.
