Jose Andrade Salas is the father of Andrade El Idolo.

Born in 1963, Salas wrestles as Brillante, and comes from a family of wrestlers.
Salas is one of the few members of his family to “compete in lucha libre.” His own father had wrestled under the name “El Moro”.
Salas also has brothers and nephews who are professional boxers and have made a name out of it.

Manuel Alfonso Andrade Oropeza is a professional wrestler who fights under the American promotion All Elite Wrestling (AEW) with the ring name Andrade El Idolo.
Born on November 3, 1989, in Durango Mexico, Andrade began his wrestling career in 2003 and became famous after participating in the Mexican promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL).

In 2011, Andrade was listed amongst the winners of the CMLL World Trios Championship.
In 2015, he got signed with WWE and went on to win the NXT Championship in 2018, after defeating Drew McIntyre. In the course of his career, Andrade has faced wrestlers like Johnny Gargano, Aleister Black, Rey Mysterio, AJ Styles, and Finn Bálor.
In 2018, Andrade made it to the main roster on SmackDown Live, and won the WWE United States Championship.
In 2021, Andrade left the WWE, and began wrestling on the independent circuit, under the ring name Andrade “El Idolo.” In the same year, he got signed with All Elite Wrestling (AEW), and further competed in high-profile matches against top stars such as Cody Rhodes and PAC.
In addition to wrestling, Andrade is featured as the character in the video games WWE 2K19 and WWE 2K20.
