In July 2014, Tony Snell re-joined the Bulls for the 2014 NBA Summer League, where he averaged 20.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in five games, earning All-NBA Summer League first-team honors.

On October 17, 2016, Tony Snell was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for Michael Carter-Williams.

Tony Snell made his debut for the Milwaukee Bucks team in their second game of the season on October 29, 2016, scoring six points in 21 minutes as a starter in a 110–108 win over the Brooklyn Nets.
