Former Australian cricketer Aaron Finch, who was born on November 17, 1986, captained his country’s squad in ODI and T20 matches. He is the current captain of the San Francisco Unicorns in Major League Cricket and competes for the United States. With his 172 against Zimbabwe in July 2018, Finch broke his previous record of 156 against England in 2013.

Finch currently holds the record for two of the three best individual T20I innings. He achieved 900 rating points on the International Cricket Council (ICC) T20I rankings for the first time in July 2018. In October 2018, he participated in his first Australia Test.

Finch and Amy Griffith have a daughter. They were married in 2018. His favorite Australian Football League team is the Geelong Cats. Prior to the third ODI against New Zealand, Finch announced his retirement from ODI cricket on September 10, 2022, but he still intended to play in T20Is.
He continued to serve as the team’s captain as Australia’s Twenty20 team attempted to defend the T20 World Cup in Australia in October and November 2022, but was unsuccessful. Finch declared his retirement from international cricket on February 7, 2023.
