Hall of Famer Tim Rice and composer Andrew Lloyd Webber met as teenagers while they were students at Magdalen College, in Oxford.

Andrew had dropped out of school to join Tim in music productions.
The duo went ahead to produce musicals “The Likes of Us” (1965), “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” (1968), “Jesus Christ Superstar” (1970), “Evita” (1976), and “Chess” (1984).

Born on November 10, 1944, in Bucks, England, Rice is notable for making musical contributions to Disney on “Aladdin, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, and DreamWorks Animation’s The Road to El Dorado.”

Rice currently serves as patron of the London-based drama school, Associated Studios, and the Thame Players Theatre. In 2008, he earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
