He died on Monday, June 12, 2023, at the age of 68. Before his death, he suffered a severe accident which affected him permanently. On September 2, 2006, just before starting to shoot a new film, he fell from the stairs of his home and was admitted to the hospital Policlinico Umberto I in Rome.
