Amanda Marshall announced her new album, Heavy Lifting, and a Canada-wide tour on March 27, 2023. She released the first single from Heavy Lifting, “I Hope She Cheats”, a cover of Marsha Ambrosius’s “Hope She Cheats on You (With a Basketball Player)”, on March 31, 2023.
