Amanda Marshall gained popularity in the 1990s with her powerful and soulful vocals. Her self-titled debut album, “Amanda Marshall,” was released in 1995 and achieved significant success in Canada.

It featured hit singles such as “Let It Rain,” “Beautiful Goodbye,” and “Dark Horse.” The album went on to receive multi-platinum certification in Canada.

Marshall’s subsequent albums include “Tuesday’s Child” (1999) and “Everybody’s Got a Story” (2001). These albums also garnered success in Canada, producing popular tracks like “Fall from Grace” and “Believe in You.”

Amanda Marshall announced her new album, Heavy Lifting, and a Canada-wide tour on March 27, 2023.  She released the first single from Heavy Lifting, “I Hope She Cheats”, a cover of Marsha Ambrosius’s “Hope She Cheats on You (With a Basketball Player)”, on March 31, 2023.
