Michael Arden is an American actor, director, and singer. Arden was born to a young mother who struggled with drugs and alcohol as well. His father committed suicide when he was two years old.

The names of his parents are not public knowledge. Arden moved to Midland, Texas, to live with his grandparents, who raised him from a young age.
He recalls being four years old when he first became interested in acting. His grandparents had taken him to see Sesame Street Live, and he recalls a memorable picture of him on the edge of his seat, completely enthralled. “It’s almost as if I’m trying to get on the stage,” he explains.

As an actor, Michael Arden has performed in numerous stage productions. He made his Broadway debut in the musical “Big River” in 2003, where he portrayed the character of Tom Sawyer.
Arden has also directed several theater productions. He gained critical acclaim for his direction of the Deaf West Theatre’s production of “Spring Awakening” (2015). The production was nominated for several Tony Awards. He also directed the Tony-nominated revival of “Once on This Island” (2017).
