He began his professional career with the Philadelphia 76ers, where he played from 1984 to 1992. Barkley then joined the Phoenix Suns, where he played from 1992 to 1996. Finally, he played his last two seasons with the Houston Rockets from 1996 to 1998.

Charles Barkley was an All-American power forward at Auburn University when he was drafted with the fifth pick in the 1984 NBA draft by the Philadelphia 76ers. Barkley was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team in 1985 during his rookie season.
