Edi Gathegi is an actor best known for portraying the vampire Laurent in the film “Twilight” (2008).

Born on March 10, 1979, in Nairobi, Kenya, began his career in theater, performing in several stage productions like the Shakespearean “Othello” and “Romeo and Juliet.”

Gathegi grew up in Albany, California, United States, and studied acting at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where he earned a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts.

After gaining fame with the movie series “Twilight”, Gathegi went on to appear in various films and TV shows including “House”, “Gone Baby Gone”, “X-Men: First Class”, “Criminal Activities”, “Into the Badlands”, “StartUp”, and “My Bloody Valentine 3D”.
