From 1999 to 2000, Charlie Brooker wrote for the television show The 11 O’Clock Show. In 2001, Brooker wrote for and appeared in Brass Eye and TVGoHome. In 2005, he co-created and wrote Spoons, and in 2006, he co-created and wrote Nathan Barley. In 2008, Brooker created, wrote, produced, and starred in Charlie Brooker’s Screenwipe.
In 2007, he created and wrote Rush Hour, and in 2008, he wrote, produced, and appeared in Dead Set. He also created, presented, wrote, or appeared in Charlie Brooker’s Gameswipe in 2008, You Have Been Watching from 2009 to 2010, and You Have Been Watching from 2010 to 2012.

Beginning in 2011, Brooker created, wrote, and produced Black Mirror. He has also worked on several other projects, including Them from That Thing, Charlie Brooker’s 2012 Wipe, A Touch of Cloth, How Videogames Changed the World, Charlie Brooker’s 2013 Wipe, Charlie Brooker’s Weekly Wipe, Charlie Brooker’s 2014 Wipe, Charlie Brooker’s Election Wipe, Charlie Brooker’s 2015 Wipe, and Charlie Brooker’s 2016 Wipe.
He received two Primetime Emmy Awards in 2017 for his work on Black Mirror. Brooker married Konnie Huq in 2010.
