Peter Belli obituary – Peter Belli, a Danish singer, and actor born Georg Peter Brandt, has died. Belli was born on June 19, 1943, and died on June 9, 2023, only 10 days before his 80th birthday.

Peter made his singing debut in 1959 with the band Trefters.
In the 1960s, Belli and his band, Les Rivals, became Denmark’s first rock stars, opening for such legends as The Rolling Stones and The Beatles.
Belli began to do more dansktop in the 1970s, with songs like Bliv vaek fra vort kvarter and Ingen regning. During this time, he began acting in a lot of Danish films, including:

Belli didn’t return to his rock roots until the late 1980s, when his Yeah album was a huge success.
Et enestende liv, his autobiography, was released in 2011.
Belli is survived by his wife June Belli and five children.
