Gladys Portugues is an American former professional female bodybuilder and actress. She is the current wife of Jean-Claude Van Damme.

Gladys Portugues and Jean-Claude Van Damme first got married in 1987 but later divorced in 1992. However, they reconciled and remarried in 1999. Together, they have two children, son Kristopher Van Varenberg (born 1987) and daughter Bianca Bree Van Damme (born 1990).

Gladys Portugues had a successful career as a bodybuilder in the 1980s and won several competitions, including the IFBB Ms. Olympia title in 1985 and 1986. She retired from competitive bodybuilding after her marriage to Van Damme but remained involved in fitness-related activities.
While Portugues has appeared in a few films, her acting career has been relatively limited compared to her husband’s. She made appearances in movies such as “Double Impact” (1991), which also starred Jean-Claude Van Damme, and “Maximum Risk” (1996).
