Konnan is a professional wrestler and wrestling personality. He is the son of Vilma Moises Alfonso and Richard Ashenoff.

His parents are Puerto Rican and Cuban. Konnan and his mother arrived in Boston in 1966. Soon after arriving in Boston, she met Richard Ashenoff, a young half-Jewish, half-Puerto Rican private investigator from New York.
They married soon after and raised Carlos together. By 1967, the family had moved to Carol City, Florida. Carlos’ legal name was listed as Charles Ashenoff when Richard formally adopted him.
Konnan has had a successful career in various wrestling promotions around the world. Konnan is best known for his time in the wrestling promotion WCW (World Championship Wrestling) during the 1990s.

He was a member of the popular stable called the nWo (New World Order) and was known for his rebellious and charismatic persona. Konnan also held multiple championships during his tenure in WCW, including the United States Championship and the World Television Championship.
After leaving WCW, Konnan competed in other wrestling organizations such as TNA (Total Nonstop Action Wrestling) and AAA (Asistencia Asesoría y Administración) in Mexico. He has been involved in both in-ring competition and behind-the-scenes roles as a manager, commentator, and creative consultant.
