Who Is Juliette Binoche?

Juliette Binoche is an actress and choreographer who gained fame after appearing in the 1988 film “The Unbearable Lightness of Being.

Born on March 9, 1964, in Paris, France, Binoche began her acting career in the early 1980s, appearing in French films such as “Liberty Belle” (1983) and “Rendez-vous” (1985).

Afterwards, she became a regular face in notable films in “Three Colors: Blue” (1993), “Chocolat” (2000), “Cache” (2005), “Clouds of Sils Maria” (2014),”The English Patient” (1996), “How To Be A Good Wife” (2020), “Between Two World” (2021), “Both Sides Of The Blade” (2021), “Paradise Highway” (2022), “The Staircase” (2022), and “Pot-au-Feu” (2023).

In theatre, Binoche has worked with directors such as Patrice Chéreau and Ivo van Hove, in productions like “Naked”, “Antigone”, and “The Maids”.

As a choreographer, Binoche collaborated with choreographer Akram Khan on the production “In-I” in 2008.

Binoche has so far earned numerous accolades for her work in film, theater, and dance, including an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award, a Silver Bear, a Cannes Film Festival Award, Volpi Cup and a César Award.
