Sofyan Amrabat was born on August 21, 1996, in Huizen, Netherlands. Born in the Netherlands, Sofyan Amrabat represented his birth country, the Netherlands at the youth international level in 2010 at the under-15 level.
Sofyan Amrabat switched allegiance to Morocco in 2013 and was selected with the Morocco U17 national team for the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
