Former Denver Broncos professional football player, Lance Ball has been trending recently after it was announced that he has been arrested for domestic violence.

According to reports, the incident started after an argument between Ball and the victim when he returned to the residence after a golf game. He was booked on charges of domestic violence, assault in the second degree, and criminal mischief.

The incident occurred on Monday, June 5, 2023, in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, USA, about 25 miles southeast of Denver. Police officers at Denver Douglas Count responded to a residence for a physical domestic disturbance report.

“Douglas County deputies arrested Lance Ball, DOB, 06/19/1985, on charges of domestic violence and second degree assault. Ball allegedly strangled and assaulted the victim. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment,” the Douglas County Sheriff’s official Twitter account shared.
Ball started his professional career in 2008. He was not selected in the 2008 NFL Draft but he was signed as an undrafted free agent by the St. Louis Rams. He was signed to their practice squad on September 1, 2008, and was released from the practice squad on September 30 that year. After barely two weeks (October 12, 2008), he signed to the practice squad of the Indianapolis Colts.
