He previously stated his intention to retire back in 2019 once Empire wrapped up, but he has had a few projects come out since then. He seems like he’s pretty serious about it this time, especially as The Best Man: The Final Chapters is him reprising his breakout role from 1999.

Terrence Howard gained wider recognition for his performances in movies such as “Hustle & Flow,” for which he received an Academy Award nomination, and “Crash,” which won the Academy Award for Best Picture.
One of Howard’s notable roles was portraying the character of James Rhodes, also known as War Machine, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film “Iron Man” released in 2008.
In addition to his acting career, Terrence Howard is also involved in music. He released his debut album, “Shine Through It,” in 2008, showcasing his singing and songwriting abilities.
