Emmy Rossum is an American actress and singer. Emmy Rossum’s recent project is the new 2023 Apple TV+ series The Crowded Room, a psychological thriller adapted from Daniel Keyes’ 1981 novel The Minds of Billy Milligan.

Since the mid-2010s, she has directed and produced television, including the 2022 Peacock series Angelyne in which she also stars. The limited series was her first lead role after Shameless and was based on The Hollywood Reporter senior writer Gary Baum’s investigative feature on the LA billboard model Angelyne

Rossum gained recognition for her portrayal of Christine Daaé in the 2004 film adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical “The Phantom of the Opera.” She showcased her singing abilities in the movie and received critical acclaim for her performance.
Rossum is also known for her role as Fiona Gallagher in the Showtime series “Shameless,” which aired from 2011 to 2021. In addition to her acting career, Emmy Rossum has released several music albums, showcasing her talents as a singer.
She released her debut album, “Inside Out,” in 2007, followed by “Sentimental Journey” in 2013, which consisted of covers of classic songs. Rossum’s music blends various genres, including pop, jazz, and classical influences.
