Borussia Dortmund have confirmed that they will not extend the contract of Mahmoud Dahoud in the summer. Mahmoud Dahoud will be leaving Borussia Dortmund on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of the season.

Mahmoud Dahoud is a Kurdish-German professional footballer who made his professional debut for Bundesliga side Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2014. Mahmoud Dahoud was born on January 1, 1996, in Amuda, Syria.

Mahmoud Dahoud began his career playing at the junior level for the Langenfeld soccer club Germania Reusrath and Fortuna Düsseldorf before signing for Gladbach at the age of 14 in 2010.

For his senior career, Mahmoud Dahoud made his debut on 7 October 2020, against Turkey in a friendly game. On 26 August 2018, Mahmoud Dahoud scored his first Bundesliga goal for his club in a 4–1 victory over RB Leipzig.
