Scott Sessions and Heather Frank, a single mother of three, met on January 22, 2020, at a blues jam concert before deciding to meet again on February 8 2020.

The same day, Heather Frank’s volatile ex Kevin Eastman dropped by her flat to talk about reuniting, but she found out about the former’s meeting with Sessions. Authorities believe he was enraged and ambushed the musician near the entrance to her flat.

Scott Sessions’ partially burned and nearly decapitated body was discovered on February 10, 2020, near Old Flowers and Pingree Park roads in Larimer County, about 40 miles west of Fort Collins.

The body was discovered wrapped in construction-grade plastic sheeting next to a flaming log. It was discovered that he died as a result of neck injuries and a severed spinal cord.

Heather Frank was also found shot to death on February 16 at a Weld County property owned by Kevin Eastman’s employer. She was shot twice in the chest at close range, and her body was wrapped in the same plastic sheeting that covered Scott Sessions’ body.

Kevin Eastman was found guilty in July 2022 on two counts of first-degree murder, tampering with a deceased human body, and tampering with physical evidence in the double homicide of Heather Frank and Scott Sessions in February 2020. He was sentenced to two life terms without the possibility of parole, plus an additional 27 years in prison.
