British former ITV executive, Marcus Plantin’s real net worth at the time of death is not known yet, however, some sources claim that he reportedly has an estimated net worth of around $500K at the time of death.

Born in 1946, Marcus Plantin was a storied program maker who was known for producing the popular British comedy series The Two Ronnies and also light entertainment hits like The Generation Game.

He was named ITV’s Network Head in 1992, making him the most powerful player in UK commercial TV. During his tenure, he oversaw several shows including Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Cracker, Heartbeat, and more. Some of his shows captured the hearts of football fans of the FAC Cup Football.

“Saddened to hear of the passing of BBC & LWT Light Entertainment Producer Marcus Plantin whose show we’re the mainstay of Saturday Night TV in the 80s. In 1993, he was the first ITV Network Controller. What better to remember him with an end to a Terry Wogan Blankety Blank – 1983,” UK Press wrote.
“It’s so sad to hear about Marcus. I worked for him as a young producer and he was always so kind and fun and lived and loved the business. He was a brilliant first Director of Programmes at ITV – we owe him a lot and he will be missed,” ITV programs boss, Kevin Lygo said.
