Man. I met Glenn Farr when I worked at a Waldenbooks store in a mall before ever getting anywhere near the movie industry. Helped him find a book, somehow it came out that he was an editor and had cut THE RIGHT STUFF, a movie I dug. He asked what I wanted to do – I wasn’t sure. Comic artist? Maybe an illustrator of some kind. He told me he had an illustrator friend at Paramount who intro’s me to – turned out to be a guy who was a legendary storyboard artist from the Golden Age of Hollywood. I got a look behind the curtain, the first time on a studio lot, and some validation when he looked at my work, and I began to realize “man, I can maybe do this!” Never spoke to Mr. Farr again. But I thank him for kindly, unknowingly, helping a young guy find his way, RIP,” Film director, Peter Ramsey shared.

Very sad to report that Edward “Glenn” Farr, Oscar-winning editor of The Right Stuff, has passed away. He also cut from This is Elvis to Fasto to Commando to Nothing in Common to Akeelah & The Bee. He was a gruff, funny, kind man. He will be sorely missed,” David Poland wrote.
