American actor, John Beasley played the role of General Lasseter in the 2002 film The Sum of All Fears. The movie also starred Ben Affleck, Morgan Freeman, James Cromwell, Liev Schreiber, Bridget Moynahan, Philip Baker, and more.

“In 193, during the Yom Kippur War, an Israeli warplane carrying a nuclear bomb is shot down. Beasley also appeared in the TV Land sitcom The Soul Man which aired its fifth and final season in 2016. He was reported dead by his son, actor Michael Beasley. He died on May 30, 2023, at age 79. According to sources, the famous actor died in a hospital in his hometown, Omaha, following complications after undergoing liver tests.
