John Beasley (Actor) Cause of Death

American actor, John Beasley has been reported dead by his son, actor Michael Beasley. He died on May 30, 2023, at age 79.

I lost my best friend today. They say you shouldn’t ever meet your heroes because they don’t turn out to be who you thought they were. This is so wrong. My hero was my father. Thank you for everything,” Michael wrote.

According to sources, the famous actor died in a hospital in his hometown, Omaha, following complications after undergoing liver tests.

Born on June 26, 1943, John Beasley began his acting career at quite an old age. He was in his mid-40s when he made an appearance in his debut film. He played the role of General Lasseter in The Sum of All Fears and Reverend C. Charles Blackwell in The Apostles in 1992.

Before venturing into acting, he was a railroad man with the Union Pacific Railroad and also established the John Beasley Theatre and Workshop in South Omaha.

Beasley also starred in The Mighty Ducks in 1992 as Jesse and Terry Hall’s dad. He was best known for his role in the 1993 film Rudy.

In 2004, he appeared in the remake of Walking Tail. He went on to star in numerous movies and tv shows before he passed away. One of his most popular tv roles was as Irv Harper in the WB series Everwood.

Beasley also appeared in the TV Land sitcom The Soul Man which aired its fifth and final season in 2016. Some of his other film credits include It Snows All The Time, Haunted Maze, The Turkey Bowl, Stoker Hills, Firestarter, Spell, Shots Fired, The Resident, Limetown, The Mandalorian, Your Honor, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, and more.
