Famous actor, Peter Simonischek played a very brief role in Netflix’s Army of Thieves which was released in 2021. He appeared uncredited as a locksmith at Dieter’s shop. He reprised his role as an uncredited character one more time in extended footage in Army of the Dead.

Some of his latest movies before his passing include Kursk, The Interpreter, Crescendo, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore (2022), and Measures of Men (2023).

Born on August 6, 1946, Peter Simonischek grew up in Markt Hartmannsdorf, a municipality in the state of Styria, where his father was a dentist.
He was a celebrated stage performer and had been a regular ensemble member of the Burgtheatre since 1999. He often appeared at the Salzburg Festival and had played the title role in the play Jedermann so many times.
Since the 1980s, Simonischek also appeared in numerous films including Herrenjahre, The Lenz Papers, Love and Fear, Sukubus, Success, The Mountain, Krucke, and more.
In the early 2000s, he starred in several movies and tv shows including Geburg, Hierankl, Years of Love, Ludwig II, Ruby Red, Der Kaktus, October November, and more.
